OBJKT ART PACK: COLLECT, UNWRAP, REPEAT
The wait is over: after months of backend work and a mysterious teaser last week on X, followed by a wave of fun speculation, we’re officially unveiling Season One of the objkt Art Pack this June 4th. But what exactly is it?
“The objkt Art Pack is a tradable virtual NFT booster pack containing commissioned artworks from artists on our platform” explains Timothy Mc Alister, co-founder of objkt and one of the minds behind this new incentive model that celebrates collectors and supports artists on the platform.
The first season runs until July 31st and features over 60 artists, all producing original pieces specifically for this release. Each objkt Art Pack includes 3 random NFTs — or artworks — that are awarded to collectors based on a random die roll whenever they make a purchase using any of objkt's marketplace smart contracts.
The higher the value of your purchase, the better your chances of receiving an art pack — approaching 100% for high-value acquisitions. There’s no fixed number of packs: the total supply depends entirely on the trading volume during the campaign. Collectors receive Art Packs exclusively as rewards. These packs, along with any individual artworks from opened packs, can be freely traded on the secondary market.
How the Idea Was Born
The idea for the Art Pack came from a desire to add surprise and play to the collecting experience — something to make it feel even more exciting. “It’s also a way to reward collectors for being active on the platform. Most importantly, it works as a discovery engine and a way to spotlight artists across the ecosystem,” reflects Brian Mc Alister, co-founder at objkt. “We’re hoping it inspires more people to explore, collect, and connect with the incredible talent on objkt,” he adds.
The Math Behind It
Objkt is using a probability model aimed at increasing the current average transaction size:
“The theta is a parameter might be adjusted during the campaign, but it starts at 35. Each token belongs to one of four rarity categories, and every pack is generated based on those probabilities. Final edition sizes aren’t fixed — they emerge from chance,” adds Timothy.
Who’s In Season One?
The line-up brings together artists with distinct voices, styles, and media. For this inaugural season, the curatorial approach was to mix emerging talents with established names — like Zancan and AL Crego — striking a deliberate balance in reach and diversity.
The idea is for each season to follow a different format — whether through an open call, a central theme, or something else: “This first season is a test drive for everyone involved. We’re curious, excited, and looking forward to community feedback. We’re here for the art, but we also want to have fun with it,” says Kika Nicolela, head of curation at objkt. Meet the artists in this season:

Beyond the Screen
Art packs will also be distributed at IRL events, extending their reach beyond the digital: “They’re also a fantastic tool for artist discovery. The exposure can introduce these creators to a whole new audience of collectors. Plus, IRL distribution is a great way to onboard new collector profiles and expand our ecosystem,” Kika adds.
Are you ready? Let the fun begin.
