Objkt discoveries: Serpens
Have you ever wondered what the convergence between man and machine, the earthy and the celestial would be like?
Over 100 million years ago, a meteorite landed on Earth. Now, you might wonder how this information unveils the secret behind the fusion of the digital and physical realms. The answer to this enigma is a ring named “Serpens”.
Unveiling the story
Picturing a moment crystallized in time, “it was designed with the help of generative AI, drawing inspiration from the captivating structures of spiral galaxies and nebulae. Crafted from white gold, the ring features a centerpiece adorned with Carbonado, a rare mineral formed over 100 million years ago during a meteorite crash. The jewel itself predates the Earth, having come into existence more than 4-5 billion years ago as the final radiant burst of light from a dying star.”
But there is more to it than being a simple piece of jewellery. Its digital counterpart was created in the form of an NFT, embodying the essence of cosmic artistry. Within its metadata, the space-time coordinates immortalize the artists’ conception of the artwork.
A celestial love story
The ring’s celestial allure stems from the love story underpinning its creation.
« In the vast expanse of the cosmos, where stars twinkle with untold mysteries, a singular encounter on August 21st, 2022 at 00:06 birthed a love story that transcended the boundaries of space and time. In this moment, I met a person whose essence was unlike any I had ever encountered before, an individual who brought the universe to life with every glance. Through her eyes, I could see the stars themselves, and it felt as though the entire galaxy was gazing back at me.
Captivated by the profound connection we shared, I resolved to spend the rest of my existence drifting alongside her as we embraced the unfolding of reality. And so, to immortalize our love, I set out to create something truly extraordinary – a ring made of stardust. »
The digital aspect of “Serpens” adds an extra layer of immortality, merging the digital and physical worlds and symbolizing the love story's unique position within the fabric of the universe.
Serpens exploration
“Serpens” was brought to life by @atlast.world and @krispatl for the ‘This Is Just A Test collection’. The cyber gallery available on Atlasworld’s website invites the exploration of the ring’s digital counterpart amongst other blockchain-based innovations. Exploring the intersection between technology and art, you will find amongst their creations, ‘Access Point - The Portal’, by Alicia Renee Ball, a hypothetical imagining of the ACCESS POINT / ENTRY WAY of the artist’s aura. Over 2000 people were introduced to the creations by attending the in-person NFT exhibition for @atlast.world and @objktcom.
